Corruption

Crona and Ragnarok from Soul Eater (in dog form as par usual). I didn't like the original background so I cut the image out and glued it to a new background (the blue rectangle is a pigment paper I made around a year ago using pigments from crushed deadly nightshade berries and salt). Below is some information about the breeds I chose to represent Crona and Ragnarok based on physical and personality related traits:

Crona: Chinese Crested ([link])
I chose the chinese crested to represent Crona because they are awkward dogs with tufts of hair on the head, feet and tail that are sometimes dyed pink (I was also able to maintain Crona's characteristic hair while remaining true to the breed's appearance). The crested breed can come in two varieties as well, hairless and powderpuff. I chose the hairless version because it is caused by a genetic abnormality which, although rare, is actually dominant over the genes for having fur. The trait can also be lethal if a dog has two genes for hairlessness (or is homozygous for the trait). This matches Crona's own characteristics as his genes have obviously been tampered with are both rare and harmful in some ways. Crested dogs can also be timid if not socialized properly and can easily be injured if not protected.

Ragnarok: Neapolitan Mastiff ([link])
I used the Neapolitan mastiff to represent Ragnarok in part because of their sheer size and power (they are one of the largest and strongest of all dog breeds). These dogs are often found wearing chains or spiked collars (probably because people think it looks fierce) and have preformed guard and protection services for people for decades. Although these dogs look (and can be) fierce, they also have a soft side (like mini-Ragnarok) that is loving and affectionate. Neapolitan mastiffs require an owner who is dominant and able to control them properly else they can become problematic. The Neapolitan mastiff will not listen to a meek owner. . .
