Art trade with *Arsillyd of their awesome dragon character of the same name. I decided to go with a sky theme. . and I made time to finish this today in order to de-stress. I hope you like it!
Materials: bristol smooth paper, copics outliners, copics, crayon, gel pen and watercolors.
You may think I'm being lazy by choosing this picture because it was the first one in the Gallery....but you would be wrong.
I chose this, and decided to critique it, based on a few things:
1. The style. It's incredibly striking, and caught my eye over the other art in the gallery (not to say the rest isn't good, don't get me wrong).
2. The border making it out to be like a Tarot card of some sort, which is very fitting to the overall image.
3. Colors. There may not be many, but the shading and the texture of them make this image shine.
I really like this piece, it really screams out 'Unique' in so many ways. Should you ever consider making a series and turning it into an actual Tarot card deck, I think you'll find that you can create something incredible. Even if it isn't Tarot related, making a series of these would most likely cause a Favorite or two to be made.
Maintain this style and color manipulation, and I can promise you others eyes will be caught, as mine were. Nice job!
